"Brown Baggers" employee presentations.
Parrots-R-4Ever-Avian Rescue offered educational presentations about parrots to employees of 4 large government contracting companies on National Bird Day. Each company has 500 to 800 employees and an average of 100-150 people were expected to attend each session.

Zambian Ornithological Society

What:
The Zambian Ornithological Society works with schools and communities in Important Bird Areas. It is currently working with 46 schools that are spread across Zambia and utilized and incorporated National Bird Day materials into its education plan.

Wings To Fly
Storytelling, art, and creative movement. This event highlighted the new book, Lucky, about a young Indonesian boy who learns to empathize with his pet lorikeet and eventually sets him free. Professional storytellers, artists, and dancers lead the activities.

This Kids Club event was free and open to the public. Children of all ages weare welcome. The program was designed for ages 4-10.
